Brad's Story

Brad began service with Calgary Career Hub in June 2021. He lost his job due to the pandemic and had been looking for the right career opportunity for over 11 months ever since. Prior to getting support from CCH, Brad found it challenging to format his resume and cover letter based on his interested job postings. Lack of a targeted job search and self-confidence were his primary barriers to finding employment.

CCH offered Brad workshops for Interview Skills, Change Management and LinkedIn training for professional job seekers. He learnt about job search strategies and built his resume, cover letter and references.

In his one-on-one appointments with his Career Advisor, Lindsay at CCH, they identified his key areas of improvement a few of which included an ATS friendly resume and networking strategies to connect with employers via LinkedIn.

While sharing his experience with CCH, Brad says, “The workshops were facilitated in a manner that delivered extremely beneficial lessons, patiently, that were easy to understand and implement. My one-on-one sessions with Lindsay were great help to ask questions and navigate the best job-hunting tactics.”

Brad is now employed with a job that meets his expectations. He is most proud of gaining back his confidence in his experience with Calgary Career Hub.
