Volunteering

Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. And it is often a two-way street: It can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.

We instinctively look for bright spots and positivity as a way to balance. The time is always right to share your light with everyone. Sharing your light can mean helping one another, charitable work, sharing your positive energy with someone, or simply exchanging a thought or writing an intention.

People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. For some it offers the chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around them. For others it provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Regardless of the motivation, what unites volunteers is that it is both rewarding and challenging.

For many people, volunteering appeals because of its social benefits. These include: meeting new people and making new friends; a chance to socialize; getting to know the local community.
