Three Important Questions to Ask during a Job Interview

You successfully made it through the interview process. Bravo! Now, it is the last few minutes of the interview, and it is time for you to ask the recruiter or hiring manager your questions. This is your opportunity to stand out as well as leave a powerful final impression.

So how do you answer, “What questions do you have for us?”

Here are three relevant questions that you can ask:

1. What do you like most about working at this company? This will help you dig deeper and learn more about your potential future employer. Additionally, if your interviewer struggles to share what they enjoy most about working at the company, it could be a major red flag.

2. What do you wish you would have known about the company when you first joined? This high-impact question can uncover both your prospective employer’s strengths and opportunities for growth. Additionally, this question provides an opportunity to share how you will use your unique experiences, expertise and strengths to support the organization moving forward.

3.Six months from now, how will you know you hired the right person for this role? This is a powerful question for two reasons. First, you will understand how the company will measure your future success in this role. Second, you can use this question as an opportunity to share how you envision yourself in the role over the first six months. Consider using this as the final question you ask during your interview to leave a powerful last impression.
