There continues to be a lot of uncertainty in the workforce, but it is important to keep moving forward during tough times.  It would be great if things could change back quickly to the pre-pandemic environment, however, this is not realistic.   So consider an A-B-C method to your job search, you may find it helpful.

Are there opportunities in a field outside of your typical job that provides earning potential?  This is a way to keep busy, stay motivated, make new contacts, learn new skills, and discover opportunities for advancement when things turn around.

You can continue to job search while you are working and who knows, maybe that better opportunity is just around the corner.  Be that employee who gets noticed for having a great attitude, showcase your skills, gain positive references and start building your professional network.  

C = Career job down the road

As things change and life starts slowly returning to normal, your career job is waiting for you.  Keep connected to your professional network, stay current on industry news, practice your skills and learn new ones to increase your value for the future.
